COMMUNICATION AWARD TO PROFESSOR ABDALLAH RAWEH

 

For his ability to combine medical and scientific excellence with the capacity to convey a universal message of knowledge, solidarity and hope, placing life, human dignity and the inalienable value of every individual at the heart of his mission.

An internationally renowned cardiac surgeon and distinguished academic, Professor Abdallah Raweh regards communication as an essential means of sharing knowledge, educating future generations and fostering dialogue between cultures, peoples and institutions. Through teaching, scientific research and international healthcare cooperation, he promotes an approach to medicine founded on expertise, responsibility and a genuine commitment to the most vulnerable.

His humanitarian work, which also extends to children suffering from heart conditions in particularly vulnerable communities, lends even greater depth to his message: science achieves its highest purpose when it translates into medical care, solidarity and opportunities for a better future.

Throughout his professional and personal journey, communication finds expression not only through words and the dissemination of scientific knowledge, but above all through personal example, which has the power to raise awareness, bring communities closer together and promote a culture of health, responsibility and human fraternity.

In recognition of these outstanding merits, the Presidential Committee of the Leone d’Oro hereby confers upon Professor Abdallah Raweh the Communication Award, acknowledging his exceptional ability to transform medical knowledge into a shared legacy and to convey, through his scientific and humanitarian work, the highest values of knowledge and humanity.

This prestigious distinction was presented during an institutional ceremony held at the Senate of the Italian Republic, organised by the Leone d’Oro Committee, chaired by Dr Sileno Candelaresi, together with the Committee’s Vice-President and the event’s moderator, Dr Luz Adriana Sarcinelli.

This award celebrates not only the excellence of an outstanding medical professional, but also the power of communication which, through science, commitment and solidarity, becomes a genuine instrument of civil and human progress.
